This day also presents the start of the academic year. A student school backpack is an ideal choice for children who need an essential school supply.

Did you know that the first U.S. Labor Day was celebrated in New York City on September 5th, 1882? Planned by the Central Labor Union, there was a huge parade of 10,000 workers who took unpaid leave to walk from City Hall past Union Square to 42nd Street - finishing in Wendel's Elm Park (92nd Street and 9th Avenue). Workers could enjoy a concert, talks and some fantastic food!
